Volume Summaries
 | Futaba-kun, The Water Queen! This chapter opens with Negiri and Misaki asking Futaba-chan to take her clothes off (because the "All Idol Swim Festival" is coming up and they can't afford a swimsuit, so they're going to make one and they need her measurements, you perverts :p). Misaki shuts herself behind some changing curtains with Futaba-chan while Negiri stands outside in the room, kicking out the Wrestling Team who can't take a hint. Futaba-chan gets undressed, and when she mistakenly takes off her underwear, we see a massive amount of blood squirting from the crack in the door ^_^; Negiri then tapes up the cracks so they can't spy anymore. Misaki then gets to measuring, requiring she shove her face into Futaba-chan's breasts, which really freaks out Futaba-chan. She's really upset that Futaba-chan's breasts have grown an inch bigger than the last time she measured them (volume 2), and a really raunchy conversation ensues that Negiri tapes and she subsequently suffers the same fate as the wrestling team. Meanwhile, Kara Kataki has recovered from her burns and emerges from the hospital pissed at Futaba-chan and disappointed at the plummet in her popularity, most likely due to the fact that her manly assistant tried to fill in for her. She figures she'll be able to get her revenge on Futaba-chan at her next gig, the "All Idol Swim Festival." The day of the festival comes, and Futaba-kun accidentally wanders into the women's changing room. He has Kara Kataki help hide him, which pleases her greatly. He says he feels a connection to her, and that he owns her first CD. After he runs off, Kara vows to beat Futaba-chan for the fans like Futaba-kun ^_^; Futaba does his changing in the men's bathroom, and when he emerges from a stall female, he happens to run into Yoku Tarenagashi, from the idol group "Zapper." He recognizes her from the Greatland commercial and really, really wants to have sex with her. Even when he mistakes her for a lesbian (he says he's open to anything ^_^;). Rather than sex, he winds up beat up on the floor of the men's room after he cops a feel on Futaba-chan. Outside, Misaki finally shows up and Negiri tells her to rush the swimsuit she made to Futaba-chan. She goes inside, and while searching for Futaba-chan, she runs into Yoku. Futaba-chan, meanwhile, is feeling a might uncomfortable in the women's changing room, especially since all of them are actresses, singers, models, and whatnot. Negiri comes into the room and asks her why she's not changed, and when Futaba-chan finds out that Misaki was supposed to give her the swimming suit, she runs off to find her. Of course, she runs across Yoku forcing himself on Misaki in the hallway. She jumpkicks Yoku in the face and tells him "Keep your hands off my girl!" Misaki is rather... shocked, but Futaba-chan doesn't realize she's said this ^_^; Yoku suggests a Menage-a-trois, for which he gets hit again and left in the hallway. When the get to the dressing room, Misaki hands Futaba-chan her suit and leaves. Futaba-chan wonders why she's acting so weird, then realizes what she said to Yoku and is a little freaked out. It switches then to the beginning of the Festival, hosted at Waterworld, which hosts Aisa's #1 water slide (a giant squid shaped affair with many elaborate tubes). All the girls are lined up, including Futaba-chan in the very pretty swimsuit that Misaki made for her. Kara vows to humiliate her to death, of course ^_^; The first event is a 100 meter relay, through which Kara is the singing entertainment. Kara is pleased because Futaba-chan's swimsuit has a big bow thing on it that Kara knows she can't swim in, but while she's singing, Futaba-chan takes it off and takes her turn in the relay, prompting Kara to stop singing and get yelled at by someone off-bubble ^_^; Futaba-chan swims her lap fast and gets complimented on swimming like one of the guys, and Kara is still mad and STILL not singing her song ^_^; Through all the different events, different acts perform, and you can tell the agency's confidence in the acts by the size of the bubble they're singing in on each panel ^_^; Soon comes the event with the giant water slide, which is a contest to see who can navigage the tubes and get to the bottom first (there's a few different junctions and switch points on the way down, and a TON of tubes). Futaba-chan jumps into her tube and starts sliding, but Yoku has followed her down and ends up straddling her head, much to her chagrin. At the first junction, Kara is waiting to clobber Futaba-chan when she slides out of the tubes, but when she jumps she wasn't expecting Yoku, and Futaba-chan and Kara each wind up holding one of his legs. This doesn't last long, as they each take a different pipe at the end of the junction, leaving Yoku with what we assume is extreme pain straddling the two tubes ^_^; Kara waits for Futaba-chan again at the second junction, and when Futaba appears, she jumps, but is shocked when it's not Futaba-chan. Futaba has changed while in the tubes, and while still in the bikini swimsuit, Kara doesn't recognize him, of course ^_^; She winds up grabbing his bottoms and pulling them down accidentally, getting a faceful of his genitals. They splashdown, and Kara is pulled out in a daze ^_^; The final event is something where everyone has to climb up a mesh cone on a floating island, and the two teams are tied, so this event will determine a winner (whoever reaches the top first wins it for their team, and they're further rewarded by a diamond at the top). Kara is still trying to clobber Futaba-chan, and she grabs hold of her top when she locates her on the island... but when the island starts rocking back and forth from all the people jumping off, Futaba-chan ends up saving Kara from plummeting. After Kara recovers, she declares that she'll win for her fans. Futaba-chan wishes her luck and jumps off the island. Kara is baffled at the ease, and thinks to herself that Futaba-chan isn't so bad at all. She reaches the top and triumphantly waves the diamond around, and is struck by lightening. Futaba-chan thinks to herself that Kara was the only one who climbed to the top in the storm, and wonders if she should've tried to stop her. Kara curses Futaba-chan from her hospital bed once again ^_^; |
 | Futaba, Autumn Blooms! Time for the school festival! The wrestling team is arranging a booth, and Negiri surprises Futaba-chan by telling her she'd be doing an autograph session for charity. Motomura and Chima are displeased with the ring Negiri has set up for a death match (desolate, surrounded by barbed electric wire, etc... a REAL death match ^_^), and Motomura reminds Negiri that they only do normal wrestling. Negiri goes off on a tangent about how normal wrestling won't rake in as much dough, and when Misaki asks her if the money was going to the poor, Negiri responds that her heart is poor, then gets upset that noone added a punchline. She also reveals that she's from Osaka. Immediately after he comment, the death match starts, and the crowd is displeased when Chima and Motomura are doing WWF-style wrestling. When Chima throws Motomura onto the barbed wire, it appears as if his back is all scratched up, but Negiri reveals that everything is fake to Futaba-chan and Misaki-chan (red marker tips on the barbs, no electricity hooked up, etc. Of course she's not even told the wrestlers this ^_^;). Chima attacks Motomura with a "bloody mist" attack (ie. he takes out a porno pic and looks at it so that the blood gushing from his nose blinds Motomura), but it backfires as he almost passes out from it. Both wrestlers stumble backwards into the wires along the sides of the ring just as Negiri reveals that the only real element to the match is explosives, which go off as she's explaining. Negiri worries about her expenditures as Motomura wonders why he's alive after the explosion, and Negiri declares that Futaba-chan's match and her autograph session will make up for her losses. She then orders everyone to put the fragments of the ring back together. Motomura asks her where she got the explosives from, to which she replied Mr. Strike gave them to her gladly when he found out it was for a death match. Apparently, he used to fight them back in "the war." Afterwards, they all go out and kill time before the next match at the various booths for the other clubs. There's a focus on the Active Calligraphy club, which is basically martial arts calligraphy (if you remember the guy who fought back in volume 2). Futaba-chan notices that Misaki has been keeping her distance, and tries to get her to explain, which only makes Misaki more embarassed. She's having trouble because she keeps thinking back to when Futaba said "keeps your hands off my girl!" in the last chapter. To distract Futaba-chan, Misaki asks where Futaba-kun is. Futaba-chan then makes up an excuse and wanders off, hoping that noone's angry at her for not doing much as a guy. Misaki wonders what she's going to do if Futaba-chan really DOES like her. Overhearing some girls talk in the hallway, she decides to go see the fortune teller, who turns out to be Takane Hirouin (with short hair!). Takane gives Misaki a really generic, pulled straight from her ass fortune (as sort of revenge, Takane remembers her from the fighting tournament as the one who eliminated her) that Misaki swallows up. Takane tells her she's having troubles with love. She says that Misaki can't have normal relationships, and what she sees almost crosses the line. Apparently Misaki will take a turn for the worst, the one she wants will be driven away and the one she doesn't want will come closer. She ends with "If you see someone else's face on the one you like, that is your fated mate!" Misaki wanders out startled and in a daze. She's really, really disturbed by this fortune. Takane's quite pleased :p Misaki runs into Futaba-kun in the hallway and talks him into going to the haunted house with her. She's really angsting, but she decides not to worry because they're there together after all, and nothing's gone wrong. While they're walking, Futaba-kun tells Misaki that he had always thought her to be shy, and that she had been rather forward. Misaki tells him that she would be even more forward, and they both lean in for a kiss. Of course, something in the haunted house ruins the moment, and Misaki pulls back. When she looks back at Futaba, she sees the female side and starts running. Futaba catches up with her, back to being a male. Misaki tells him that she had seen Futaba-chan's face for a minute, then she remembers her fortune. She decides that Futaba-chan must be her fated mate after all. Futaba-kun reminds her of her match with Futaba-chan, and she starts angsting and saying she feels suffocating. Futaba-kun tries to say something, but Misaki runs away and says something about not being able to face her right now. She leaves a shocked Futaba-kun behind and an angsting Negiri at the ringside yelling about how much money she's going to lose :p |
 | Futaba-kun Gets Found Out!! (part one) This chapter starts off with Misaki having a dream where the two Futabas like each other and she has to choose which one she likes best. Futaba-chan comes forward, naked and saying that Misaki liked her best, and Misaki says that she doesn't like her like that. Misaki wakes up and checks to make sure she's still female, and then wonders about the dream. Back at the Shimeru house, Futaba beats up Futana for fooling around with him in his bed again :p They end up having to walk together, Futaba still rebuking Futana for the bed incident. When he asks why she's walking with him, he's rather shocked to find out she's student teaching at his school. Later, Futana seeks out Futaba in the halls, who's desperately trying to avoid her. She claims she's lonely since all the teachers that were there when she attended were gone. Futaba guesses correctly that they left because of her ^_^; Unfortunately, the two are interrupted by Sabuyama-sensei, who is none too pleased to see the new female student teacher all over his favorite boy. Futana explains that he's her little brother and it's okay for her to do certain things to him, and proceeds to do a groping in the hallway, on top of him on the floor and everything. Futaba gets rather upset and stops her. Sabuyama-sensei was watching with a nosebleed (...o_O;), and then comes to his senses and gets extremely angry and sends Futana to the principal's office. After she leaves, he reveals that he's mostly angry that Futana is a woman :p In class, Futaba is just relieved that girl-crazy Futana has only targeted him so far. Misaki interrupts his thought processes by asking him if Futab-chan was in class. He replies in the negative, and she walks away, wondering to herself why she has to know if Futaba-chan's in class, and why she had to ask Futaba-kun. She suddenly remembers that there was something important she'd forgotten, and drags Negiri to the bathroom for a girl talk. Back in class, there's a very blatant Tenchi Muyo reference when Ayeka is asking Ryoko for pads. Since Ryoko prefers tampons, Futaba-kun hands Ayeka a pad and starts discussing periods with her (a conversation I never, NEVER wanted to read, but it's funny all the same :p). Ryoko eventually asks him why he can talk girl talk and carried around pads, and he ran out of the room embarrassed, thinking to himself that he can't properly keep his two sides separate. Later, as a girl, Futana gropes her butt in the hallway, and is rather disappointed to find out it's only Futaba-chan's. Futaba gets angry and tells her that this is High School, not a bar, and as she walks away, he silently envies her since there's no difference in how she acts as a male or female. In the restroom, Misaki remembers that the connection between Futaba-kun and Futaba-chan was that she'd seen Futaba-kun at Futaba-chan's house (there's also a really funny scene interspersed where Negiri is laying on the floor and looking up Misaki's skirt, telling her she really should've learned to pull up her panties after going by now :p). Negiri said that Misaki's revalation was a given, and that there were three reasons for it. The first being that Misaki imagined it, the second being that the two live together and can't divulge why because of some family secret, and the third is that Futaba is a creature that can turn into both genders :p Misaki, leaving Negiri's company in the bathroom unnoticed, decides that the first two are very possible, and the third is rediculous, but doesn't count it out. She also thinks that they could both be lovers. She suddenly has her ass groped by Futana, and Misaki decides to ask her what's up. She's not sure how to put it though, since they are all kind of strange questions to put to someone. While Misaki is trying to decide how to ask, Futana decides that she's just her type and takes her off to a secret changing room to have her way. Meanwhile, Futaba realizes that he'd left his money in his other uniform while trying to purchase some supplies in the school store, and when he reaches the changing room, he finds Futana on top of a very distressed Misaki. He yells "Sis, I won't tell you again... Keep your hands off of my girl!" and changes into a guy right in front of Misaki. |
 | Futaba-kun Gets Found Out!! (part two) Futana-chan kindly points out to Futaba that he's changed. Futaba, rather shocked, changes back and forth a few times and then passes out. Futana simply says "Oh well" and turns back to Misaki, who also passes out. Futana looks from one to the other and gets an evil look about her. Futaba-kun has a dream about how he's falling off a cliff, and Misaki looks over the side and calls him a liar. He falls, but grabs the edge of the cliff. The cliff face turns into his female form, and the spot he's holding is the nipple :p Futaba-chan says that it hurts, and Misaki gets angry at him for holding on there. Futaba-chan turns into Futana-chan, who asks Futaba if he really likes that sort of nasty thing, and then Futana-chan turns into Misaki-chan, who just tells him to let go. Futaba-chan wakes up to see Futana, who tells her that it was reverse syndrome she was experiencing, triggered by when a Shimeru suddenly gets too excited. Since Futana is also undressing Futaba-chan, Futaba-chan kinda knocks her away :p She complains and then points to Misaki, who is also undressed (and unconscious) and says she did it as a favor. She points to Misaki and tells Futaba-chan to do her. Futana tells Futaba that she saw Futaba change, so she knows their secret, and if the truth is known, they won't be able to live in the city any longer. The only way to keep her quiet is to make her Futaba's. Futaba refuses, so Futana says she'll do it instead :p Futaba-chan knocks her away again, so Futana (now a man) tells her to take responsibility for this while she goes out and chases more girls, then she leaves the room. Misaki then wakes up and asks Futaba-chan what's going on. The scene switches to Negiri, who's walking down the hall wondering where Misaki-chan is. Futana-kun comes up behind her and tells her that she'd look prettier without glasses. Negiri tells her that she already knows this, but chooses not to sell herself cheap. Futana-kun is rather disgruntled, but decides to try out all the girls in the school at once and hold a beauty contest :p The head judge is Principal Hirouin, and the secondary judges happen to be the three guys on the wrestling team (who say it's finally their turn :p). The winner gets to go out on a date with Futana-kun, the "mysterious new teacher trainee." Takane Hirouin is rather excited about finally getting a chance to upstage Futaba-chan, but her hopes come crashing down when they announce that Futaba-chan can't participate since she's not an amateur. Back in the changing room, Futaba-chan has explained everything to Misaki-chan. Misaki-chan is EXTREMELY upset, recalling when she told her her feelings and when they bathed together and such, and tries to run away. Futaba-chan tries to catch up with her, but they are both stopped by the sounds of the beauty pageant outside. Apparently, a mystery girl has beaten the score of Takane Hirouin and won the contest. Misaki-chan says that the girl is beautiful, and also says she seems to recognize the guy who's awarding the prize. Futaba-chan, on the other hand, has run out and grabbed Futana-kun and dragged him out to have a talk. The announcer is rather confused, and instead of talking about the "mystery trainee," turns to ask the mystery girl her name and class, but she's gone as well. Futana changes back into a girl and explains to Futaba-chan the contest, and how this way she wouldn't have to waste time picking out the prettiest girl. Misaki-chan sees them talking and recognizes Futana as the man who groped her on the train. She then says that the two simply torment people and laugh at them. When Futaba-chan tries to explain to Misaki, Misaki declares that she hates her. The last panel of the chapter is Negiri putting on her glasses and saying that she doesn't want to sell herself cheap, and yet just did the beauty pageant for free. |
 | Futaba-kun Goes Bald!! Futaba was so upset about Misaki saying she hated him, that he took three days off school. Finally, his father was the one who forced him to go, saying that he was pathetic for not doing so. Meanwhile, his agency called and said it was about time for him to be reporting to work. Futaba's father then turned into Kahoru Iroka and said that she didn't feel like working :p She still sent Futaba to school though. Meanwhile, Mrs. Shimeru was on the phone talking with someone about a promise they made with a family fourteen years ago. At school, Futaba-kun is literally dragging his feet and trying to avoid it. He makes the decision not to go, and when he turns around to leave he runs smack into Misaki-chan. Futaba starts to apologize, but when he realizes it's Misaki, he stops. She simply gives him a twisting punch and tells Negiri to tell the teacher she won't be in today. Negiri then turns to ask Futaba-kun what he did to her. When Futaba says it was SHE who punched HIM, Negiri says she meant what he did to her before, since she had just convinced Misaki-chan to come to school after a three day absence. While sitting in class, Futaba-kun reflects on all the terrible things that have befallen Misaki since he's gotten to know her while asking himself "What did I do...?" Negiri suddenly gets up and tells the teacher she's not feeling well and going home, shooting Futaba-kun a nasty look as she leaves. After sitting and angsting for a bit, Futaba-kun too takes leave. At Misaki-chan's house, the doorbell rings and Misaki doesn't feel like getting it. It rings repeatedly though, and when she answers it, it's simply Negiri asking her if she'd like to have a few drinks. When Futaba-kun goes home, he thinks to himself that he knows his father will be upset, but he doesn't want to go elsewhere. When he steps into the entranceway, his father is begging his mother's forgiveness. Apparently he made some big decision without her fourteen years ago, and she's rather angry about it. He's literally down on his hands and knees in front of the closed door begging her forgiveness. When he notices Futaba-kun, he calls him a troublemaker from being home from school early, and asks if he really hates school that much. Futaba-kun says he doesn't hate school, but when he trails off, his father correctly guesses he's trying to avoid a girl. His father gives Futaba-kun some helpful advice: "If you're arguing with someone and it's all your fault, then apologize until she forgives you... without failure... APOLOGIZE!" He kinda keeps going on and on about apology, but says that if she loved him, she'd eventually forgive him. Mr. Shimeru also correctly guesses that Futaba-kun didn't do anything to change his situation while at school, but when Futaba asks what he could possibly do, Mr. Shimeru says that he has to figure it out for himself since he had problems of his own ^_^; When he turns to tell Futaba about the promise he made to his brother, Futaba's not there anymore. Futaba-kun is shown looking up at a Barber's sign wondering what he can do to repay Misaki's kindness, and he thinks about what his father said about apologizing. Meanwhile, at Misaki's house, Negiri watches as Misaki puts some drinks away in one breath. She asks Negiri for another, and we find out that it's only honey that the two are drinking (...ew :p). Misaki keeps telling Negiri that Futaba Shimeru is Futaba Shimeru, but Negiri doesn't really understand what she's saying. She tells Negiri that Futaba is a liar, but can't tell her what Futaba did to her, since Negiri wouldn't believe it. She says that she doesn't really understand, but is mad all the same. When she asks Negiri if she agrees, Negiri says she does, but also tells her that since girls fall in love without reason, if a girl had to seek out a reason to dislike a boy, that meant she was still in love with him. While Misaki was reacting to this statement, the phone rang. Of course it's Futaba, who's in a phone booth in front of her house and just wants to talk with her. Misaki yells at him and hangs up. Futaba says he'll be out front until Misaki sees him. She calls him a cheat, and then turns to Negiri and asks her about the Miss Komatane High contest. Negiri was a little embarassed that she'd figured it out. Misaki was upset that she'd never told her she was that pretty, but Negiri reminded her who it was that taught Futaba-chan to wear makeup. She says that she does everything to improve herself through finances, and that she's no ordinary miser :p Negiri says that it was her mistake to sign up for that contest. She tries to lay low in everyday life so that when her special time comes along and she meets her man, she can properly shine. Of course, her ideal man is hansome and earns lots of money :p She says that she knows that there aren't any men out there like that, so she's prepared to train him to be perfect. The phone rings, Futaba again, and Misaki hangs up on him again. When Negiri asks if she'll at least hear his apology, she says she doesn't care. She feels a little guilt when it starts to rain, though. Negiri suggests that Futaba may have had a special reason for doing what he did, and that she should try to put herself in his shoes. Misaki gets indignant and says that noone's EVER been in his shoes, but then she remembers when she turned into a man. She suddenly realizes Futaba's reasons for keeping his little trick secret, and goes to the window to look out. At this point it's raining very hard, and she suddenly notices him on the street. She comes running out to him with an umbrella, and she asks him what he had done to his hair. He had shaved his head completely bald as a sign of how sorry he was (;_; awww...). While apologizing, he turns into a female and tells her that she knows that Misaki won't forgive her so soon. Misaki just tells her that a girl should take better care of her hair and that she'd really make a girl upset because of her silliness. Misaki told him how upset she got when she found out he had been avoiding her, and Futaba-chan apologized again, telling her that she couldn't be her normal self in front of her. Misaki just says "Oh you fool..." ;_; Back at the Shimeru residence, Futaba's father asks Mrs. Shimeru how they should break the news to Futaba. Mrs. Shimeru tells him that it was all up to him since he was the one to make the promise. Then he says that the fiancee that Futaba had had for fourteen years was arriving tomorrow :p END VOLUME 6!!! |
